Rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) is widely used as a green building energy-saving material due to its excellent performance, despite being flammable and releasing toxic smoke. In order to address this issue, the development of flame-retardant RPUF has been pursued. Current methods for achieving this goal include the addition of flame retardants and reactive flame retardants, albeit each approach has its own limitations [1].
