Surfactant-controlled Switchable Oxygenation of Sulfides to Sulfoxides or Sulfones under Visible-light Irradiation A visible-light induced selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides or sulfones was reported at ambient temperature in H2O under catalyst-free conditions, using oxygen as green oxidant. The surfactants play a key role in this oxidation, and sulfoxides or sulfones were obtained in high yields respectively promoted by different surfactants.
