On Tuesday, polls will open across the United States for another historic election. “Americans are electing every member of the House of Representatives and enough of the U.S. Senate to decide who will control it next year. Also, governors, state legislators and much else. There are a lot of ballot measures in many states.

Good afternoon, I'm Rony Camille. It's an honor to be with you on this Juneteenth holiday commemoration in our community. I'm originally from a city about four hours north of here: Montreal, Quebec. My ancestral roots are from the great nation of Haiti - the first Black Republic in the Western Hemisphere. But Nashua, or Nashu au-way, as my fellow French Canadians would call it, has been my home for 28 years.
