Couple Bethan Amoako and Greig Reid were driving their six-month-old daughter to swimming lessons, when they spotted the distressed animals. She said: “We came up to the Glen Gates wall and saw a duck sitting against the wall looking terrified.

The young businesswoman has acquired the popular establishment in Pittencrieff Street, after the previous custodians confirmed its closure in February. It’s the third pub that Ms Hutchinson owns, along with Steadings and Alfie's in her hometown of Kirkcaldy.

(Image: Google Street View) The SSPCA have said that no ducklings are left at a Rosyth pond, after reports of youths attacking the animals emerged online. One resident said that they witnessed two children enter the water in Rosyth Public Park at around 4.45 pm on Monday night, before attempting to hit the birds with a large stick and smashing glass beside the pond.

The Scotmid Funerals branch currently sits on the city’s Bridge Street, at its junction with the High Street. Despite still showing as open on Google, representatives say that the location is effectively already shut.
