We have official confirmation that the Nintendo Switch 2 will carry on the amiibo figure line thanks to last week’s Nintendo Direct presentation. While that quickly settled my fears that Ninty was phasing out charming toys, I can’t help but wish they made one change that would truly make them my favorite peripheral with this new console generation - including an NFC card with every figure.

The official Switch 2 camera has appeared on Amazon for those lucky enough to be based in the UK. Right now, the official camera is available to pre-order for £59.99 and is expected to be released on June 5, 2025, the same day as the Switch 2. Better yet, there's no tedious invite request to be found. All you need to do is click the 'pre-order now' button, and you're good to go.

JLab and MrBeast have collaborated to release the JLab Gaming x MrBeast Nightfall headset, a themed version of the audio brand's flagship gaming pair of cups. From an over 351 million subscribed YouTube channel to toys and chocolate bars, this brand-new wired pair of cups doesn't feel that out of the blue. In fact, I'm surprised it took this long for an audio brand to team up with MrBeast, especially as an online personality who's got their own Fortnite skin and YouTube channel under their belt.

HORI has combined a Nintendo Switch 2 camera with the iconic sharp-toothed baddie to create a fierce on-brand accessory that looks monumentally more Nintendo than anything revealed so far. HORI is almost synonymous with the best Nintendo Switch accessories, but this new Piranha Plant camera is easily one of their best-looking yet.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders just went live at Argos, making the retailer the first out the gate offering actual real-life pre-orders online. I'm not talking pre-registration here, I'm talking instant pre-order. Fellow Hardware Editor Phil Hayton has secured their own handheld within the last few minutes. The highly anticipated handheld has also appeared at Amazon, though this is a pre-registration.

We got a glimpse of the brand new built-in microphone, and the new official Nintendo Switch 2 camera during today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation. Ninty has ditched its current pesky voice-chat system for a process more in line with other current-gen consoles thanks to its new GameChat voice chat feature, and I’m all for it. I just don't think it's going to be first-party games taking the limelight here.
