MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting outside Cache 42, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Just after 10:05 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting in the parking lot of Cache 42 located on 4202 Hacks Cross Road. On the scene, they discovered two men and a teen were taken to hospitals after being shot.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The 50th Memphis Pride Fest was set to take place at Robert Church Park on Saturday, but it has been canceled due to severe weather. The festival and parade were originally set to start at 11:00 a.m. Mid-South Pride did post to their social media on Saturday morning: Memphis Pride Fest and the Mid-South Pride Parade have been canceled due to the risk of severe weather. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but the safety of our community comes first, always.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The University of Memphis will raise tuition for the upcoming academic year, according to a press release issued on Wednesday afternoon. The University of Memphis Board of Trustees approved a 4.92% increase in tuition and mandatory fees for in-state undergraduates. Based on an average 15-hour course load, this increase adds $264 to the semester total. The voting took place during the board’s quarterly meeting at the UofM Lambuth Campus.
