    COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. (WMC) - Some parts of Shelby Drive will be closed due to a construction project. The closures will take place from Tuesday, May 27, until Friday, August 1. Construction on the Shelby Drive Improvements Project from Sycamore Road to Highway 72 will begin the week of May 19. The first phase of construction will be focused on erosion control and site preparation on the south side of the road.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Lil Wayne’s upcoming Memphis stop on his “Lil’ Weezyana” tour is postponed. The rap artist was scheduled to be joined by Hot Boys - Juvenile, BG, and Turk - for the concert on May 15 at FedExForum. It’s now rescheduled for Sept. 28 at 8:00 p.m., according to Ticketmaster.     MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police arrested a man for shooting his ex-girlfriend during a fight, according to Memphis Police Department. Cordarious Booker, 27, is charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault. MPD says the shooting happened on May 6 outside a shopping center on 2757 Kimball Avenue. They were involved in the argument on the side of the shopping center’s building.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A 2-year-old was taken to the hospital after an overdose on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Memphis Police Department. Officers responded to the overdose on Weaver Road just after 3:45 p.m.The child was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition.     TIPTON CO., Tenn. (WMC) - A Tipton County man was sentenced to life in prison, according to Mark E. Davidson, District Attorney General. On May 5, Donald Ray Parker, Jr., 53, received an effective sentence of life in prison on the first-degree murder count (40 years), attempted first-degree murder count, (20 years) on the aggravated child abuse count, and (20 years) on the felon in possession of a firearm count.
