MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported an inmate death at 201 Poplar on Monday. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating the circumstances leading to the death of Daniel Neal, 41. The death was reported around 10:20 a.m.An autopsy is being performed on Neal to determine the manner and cause of death, according to TBI. The investigation is active and ongoing. CLARKSDALE, Miss. (WMC) - Residents in Clarksdale, Mississippi, will have a chance to watch Ryan Coogler’s blockbuster film “Sinners” for free. For three days from Thursday, May 29 to Saturday, May 31, there will be free screenings of the horror film set in 1930′s Clarksdale. The celebration will also be brought to you by Warner Bros. Pictures; “Culture Capital” panel discussions with local organizations shaping the community and live music.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man was charged in a 2023 cold case murder shooting that left one man dead, according to Memphis Police Department. On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a fire station on 4715 Horn Lake Road. A man who was suffering from a gunshot wound had been dropped off at the fire station. The victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The case of a man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend was bound over to a grand jury, according to Shelby County District Attorney’s Office. Cordarious Booker, 27, is charged with criminal attempt: second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and using a Firearm to commit a dangerous felony. He had a bond hearing on Friday, May 23. The case was bound over to the state, and he remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.
