    With more than 56,000 people expected to race Sunday including four-time London champion Eliud Kipchoge and Olympic champions Sifan Hassan and Tamirat Tola, the 45th edition of the London Marathon promises to be a memorable race. Last year 53,900 runners finished the race. With an even larger field expected for 2025, Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, called it "the most popular marathon on the planet." He said last year 840,000 people applied to run this year's event.

    Oregon State’s Jade Carey, Florida’s Leanne Wong and Oklahoma’s Faith Torrez are among the stars leading their teams at today’s regional finals. Regional finals in Alabama and Washington will determine which teams join LSU, Michigan State, Utah and UCLA in the NCAA championships in Fort Worth, Texas. LSU and Michigan State were the first teams to get through, finishing 1-2 in the Pennsylvania regional Saturday. Out of the Utah regional, the host Red Rocks advanced along with UCLA.

    Oklahoma and Missouri were the last teams to advance out of regional competition Sunday evening, filling out the NCAA bracket with the final eight. Missouri beat Auburn in a nailbiter, edging its fellow SEC competitor by .100 at the regional final in Seattle. A strong finish by Helen Hu on beam helped Missouri hang on to second. The top two teams from each regional final earned NCAA berths. Earlier in the evening, Florida and Alabama advanced from the regional in Tuscaloosa.

    No. 1 LSU and No. 5 UCLA are among the women’s gymnastics teams competing Saturday for a spot in the NCAA championships. Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles leads the Bruins, who will compete in the Utah regional final along with No. 4 Utah, No. 10 Minnesota and No. 18 Denver. Senior Aleah Finnegan and freshman Kailin Chio lead LSU, who advance to the Penn State regional final along with No. 8 Michigan State, No. 9 Kentucky and No. 16 Arkansas.
