Everything You Need to Know About the India-Pakistan ClashIs a bigger war between the nuclear states still on the horizon? We asked two experts. The recent exchange of fire between India and Pakistan following an Islamist massacre of Indian tourists in the disputed territory of Kashmir has had the world holding its breath. And for very good reason: The countries have been rivals since they both became independent in 1947. And both possess nuclear weapons.

Sounds like @MarkJCarney made an excellent choice in @AnitaAnandMP as Foreign Affairs minister. It may be good for a reset of India Canada relations as I conjectured yesterday, but also good for Israel.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Anita Anand is Canada’s new foreign affairs minister. When she was defence minister Anand promoted a belligerent military posture and has backed Canada’s support for Israel’s holocaust in Gaza. As President of the Treasury Board in https://t.co/6dorknWY4W

My only guess at this appointment of Anand as Foreign Affairs suggests that India may be important for Carney. He's been bullish on India for many years. Anand is a devout Hindu, Indian origin, and would be an obvious choice if India is one of your foreign policy priorities.
