Are the factors that led to the decline of mainline church attendance the same as those leading to decreased interest in evangelical congregations? Why are Gen Z women leaving religion at higher rates than their male counterparts? These are the questions that Russell Moore and Ryan Burge—author, professor, and writer of Graphs about Religion Substack—address in this episode.

"God is never going to betray you—even if the church does.”So says Nancy French, best-selling author and investigative journalist, on this episode of The Russell Moore Show. It’s important to clarify: the biblical mandate to care for orphans should not be considered synonymous with a call to adopt orphans. Christ, our head, has given each member of his body different work to do.

by Russell MooreIn that moment, I resolved two things. The first was that I would still trust and obey the Jesus to whom Southern Baptists introduced me, and I would follow him, whether he has a southern accent or not, whether his Jordan River baptism was full immersion or not. And the second was that I would never be at another Baptist business meeting again. I was not losing my faith, but I was losing my religion.
