The LNG Canada facility under construction in 2022(Bloomberg) -- Shell Plc’s liquefied natural gas project in Canada, the country’s first large-scale export terminal for the fuel, is preparing to begin overseas sales as soon as late June. The facility is testing equipment ahead of the start of LNG production according to people with knowledge of the situation who asked not to be identified as the details are private.

Germany’s state-owned SEFE has signed a preliminary deal with Energy Transfer LP to buy liquefied natural gas from the proposed Lake Charles LNG export project in Louisiana. A preliminary deal, known as a heads of agreement, has been signed, SEFE said in an emailed response to questions on Wednesday. The 15-year supply contract would be for 1 million tons a year, it said.
