Before I had a child I probably had a lie in on a Saturday but there’s no such thing as that these days. I’ll grab a coffee or some granola, a piece of toast or some fruit. I used to skip breakfast when I was younger but now I really appreciate it. If you can get everyone (including the dog) to sit together even for 15 minutes it’s a really nice start to the day. I’ll try to get to a reformer pilates class at Exhale Pilates. I’ve never been big into gyms, I find them a bit intimidating.

THE SUN MIGHT be playing hide and seek at the moment but introducing on of 2025′s most poular colours into your home will ensure the sun shines all year round. British interior designer, stylist, writer, TV personality and podcaster Sophie Robinson is an authority on all things colour. Having met her last year in Dublin for the launch of her collection with DFS, we knew she’d be the right person to tell us how to bring this season’s mood-boosting colour into our homes.

My one-year-old daughter Sofia doesn’t let me sleep in so I’ll be up at around 7am. Myself and my wife Annie will give her breakfast. I try to stay healthy and I’m always hungry too. I have porridge with blueberries every day – it fills me up and gets me through to lunchtime. We get our coffee from Stone Valley Coffee Roasters. The guys that run it are musician friends of mine – John Boyle and Tom Edwards. They’ve a great set up in Clonakilty and their coffee beans are second to none.
