The SettingWedding LocationCastello Solacium, Italy is definitely a very popular location for couples to host their weddings and for us, we always had the best time traveling anywhere in Italy. The reason we chose Sicily was because it kept its authenticity and rawness, while having the amazing food and warmth of its people. We wanted to have a fully outdoor ceremony and celebration for both days.

The SettingWedding LocationWe got married at an 11th century castle nestled in the mountains just outside of Barcelona, Spain. I was instantly won over through photos of Castell de Sant Marcal and committed to the venue before even seeing it in person. Luckily, the venue is even more impressive in real life than in photos. The castle served as a stunning backdrop for our wedding festivities. Walking through the grounds on my first visit there made me feel like I was in a fairy tale.

Wedding Planner & StylistI followed Bianco Antico before I was even engaged or knew I would be getting married in Italy. We kept things simple with wicker brown chairs large terracotta cases full of red gladiolus which contrasted beautifully against.

Wedding Planner & StylistMy day-of coordinators were Ashley and Dawn of Dawn Mauberret events. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Because of them, I felt like I could truly be in the moment and relax on my wedding day. Hydrangeas were a given from the start because they become so sculptural en masse, and we knew we wanted to play up shape and scale. Because I’m so drawn to texture, bleached amaranth was all over my early mood boards.
