MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia and Marshall — the only Division I colleges in the state — don’t often compete in major athletics. Their football programs haven’t met since 2012 when WVU moved its all-time record against the Herd to 12-0. The men’s and women’s basketball programs haven’t competed against one another in the regular season since December 2015. The only game between the two programs since then was during the 2018 men’s NCAA Tournament.

Honor Huff, a junior guard who played the last two seasons at Chattanooga, is transferring to WVU for the 2025-26 season, according to a post on his Instagram account. He reportedly chose West Virginia over other interested schools like Iowa, St. John’s, Vanderbilt and Pitt.

GRANVILLE, W.Va. — One of the most notable contributions toward West Virginia baseball’s (27-4, 7-3 Big 12) success this season has been the volume of productive, lengthy outings by relief pitchers. Six relievers have combined for 16 appearances lasting at least three full innings. Graduate student Jack Kartsonas is among that group. The uniquely mustached hurler is coming off his longest outing of the season.
