Avery Viancos, Olivia Black, Emily Chiarella, Victoria Ash and Maddox Thomas were all named to the team. Viancos graduated a year early carrying a 4.0 GPA with a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience and cognition.

She is currently taking prerequisite courses for a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. Viancos has a career 4.0 GPA.

    FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University softball will start its Atlantic Sun Conference tournament title defense on Tuesday as it takes on the winner of the Lipscomb/Queens game at 3 p.m. central, 4 p.m. eastern in Oxford, Ala. at Choccolocco Park. The Eagles are the sixth seed in the ASUN tournament after finishing third by way of tiebreaker in the Graphite division. Allison Sparkman is the ace in the circle for FGCU, with a season ERA at 2.13 and WHIP of 1.34, both leading the team.

The three-game series will be played on Friday and Saturday with a doubleheader on Friday.
