Photo by Mike Roach/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images Tom Aspinall is officially sick of sitting around and waiting for Jon Jones. Aspinall now holds the dubious record of longest serving interim champion in UFC history. He won the interim heavyweight title back in November 2023 and defended it in July 2024. Now he’s looking to defend the belt in his hometown next. Della Maddalena was just too accurate with his striking and too effective with his grappling and head movement for Muhammad, who ended up a bloody mess by the end of their five round fight (watch the highlights here).

Getty Belal Muhammad took one helluva beating during his UFC 315 main event fight against Jack Della Maddalena last night (Sat., May 10, 2025) in Montreal (watch highlights). And while he ended up losing his belt to the scrappy Australian via unanimous decision, he didn’t let the accumulating injuries stop him from moving forward right to the final bell.
