I grew up with the music to Camelot. The production now playing at Lincoln Center is not the show from my childhood. Let’s start with the music. Music director, Kimberly Grigsby or is it director Bartlett Sher has the characters singing these songs with rage and it starts with the first song “I Wonder What the King Is Doing Tonight”. Every other word by King Arthur (Andrew Burnap) is punctuated with anger.
