    Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has published the new feed-in tariffs for utility-scale solar plants. For projects without battery storage, the tariff will be VND 1,382.7 ($0.053)/kWh for the northern part of the country, VDN 1,107.1/kWh for the central part, and VDN 1,012.0/kWh for the southern region. For solar power plants relying on battery storage systems, the FiTs for the three regions will be VND 1,571.98/kWh, VND 1,257.05/kWh and VND 1,149.86/kWh, respectively.

    From pv magazine USASolar energy additions to the US grid are continuing their charge as the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revised its forecast to show more growth in its Short-Term Energy Outlook report. Solar is on an impressive growth ramp, reaching 91 GW of cumulative capacity by the end of 2023 and 121 GW by the end of 2024. EIA expects 26.3% growth in installations in 2025, reaching 153 GW of installed capacity through the end of the year.

    Czechia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) has added CZK 1 billion to its interest-free loan program for businesses installing solar. The program, launched in June 2024, offers interest-free loans ranging from CZK 500,000 to CZK 3 million for companies of all sizes. It supports solar plants up to 50 kW on commercial buildings, warehouses, garages, and carports. Battery storage systems are also eligible.

    From pv magazine USAAvangrid has started delivering electricity from the 150 MW Powell Creek solar project in Putnam County, Ohio. Approved by the state siting board in 2021, the project is actively exporting electricity to the local electric grid. Avangrid said it is continuing with commissioning activities and other related work ahead of the project’s commercial operation date expected later this year.
