Not only did she with her arm — and a bunch of assistance from the outstanding defensive effort behind her all game — but with the bat in her hands in the top of the eighth, she drove in the go-ahead run.

CHAMPAIGN — Thomas Lauterbach needed something positive to happen. Sacred Heart-Griffin needed one more timely hit. Both parties were satisfied. With one out in the bottom of the seventh inning and Will Coady representing the game-winning run at third base, SHG's No. 9 hitter and senior Lauterbach delivered in the final inning for the second straight game with a single down the third-base line.
