    The Ottawa Design Club (ODC) hosted its end-of-summer party, called “Hands-On Vibes”, at Club SAW on August 22nd. This event ran from 6pm to 11pm and kept the guests entertained with engaging panel speakers, music and activities.     Sunday night at the Bronson Centre hosted a special hometown show with one of Ottawa’s biggest hip hop artists, Night Lovell. Selling out the venue, fans were eagerly waiting as the line stretched well around the block on a snowy evening in the city. Night Lovell’s performance was an electrifying burst of energy, with his signature dark and atmospheric beats. His powerful stage presence and intrinsic flow kept fans entranced through the entire set.

    The Ottawa Arts Council announced on Nov. 23 the 10 recipients of their ActivArts Community Micro-Grants. The grants—valued between $250 and $1,000—are divided into two streams to support either a community project or an individual artist. The grants are designed to respond to a specific need, such as purchasing art supplies or DJ equipment, renting a venue or creating a proof of concept for a web series.
