The Cincinnati Bengals appear to have the man they'll entrust with fixing their broken defense. The Bengals have hired Notre Dame defensive coordinator Al Golden to take the same position with the franchise. It's a homecoming of sorts, as Golden was Cincinnati's linebackers coach from 2020 through '21, when he was hired to take the defensive coordinator job with the Fighting Irish. Jordan Love has some work to do if he wants to be an elite quarterback. The Green Bay Packers saw their season end sooner than they would have liked after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round of the playoffs. After their victory, Michigan players attempted to plant their "M" flag in the middle of the "O" at midfield of Ohio State's stadium. That led to Buckeyes linebacker Jack Sawyer ripping the flag off its pole and throwing it. A fight ensued that got so out of control that local and state police used pepper spray to break it up.
