TRP and Classified teamed up to launch a wireless group named Vistar. The new group moves the industry a step further away from the front derailleur and a step toward a viable 1x group for almost all drop bar riding contexts. I have a drawer full of old front derailleurs. Most of them came off cyclocross and mountain bikes that were converted to 1x for my family and me. I joke that they make great ornaments for the Christmas tree. That said, I am not a complete 1x convert across all my bikes.

Shimano’s move to wireless on their new XTR Di2 group was only a matter of time. With the ubiquity of dropper posts and the two-piece framesets of full suspension mountain bikes, there never really was a viable wired XTR Di2 option with the seatpost battery used in the Di2 road and gravel groups. Shimano cleverly worked around existing patents to position their removable battery inside the body of the derailleur, rather than clamped on the end where it is more vulnerable to damage.

Last summer, I completed my first backpacking trip from Buffalo to New York City along the Empire State Trail. As a newcomer to bikepacking, I wanted to test out bags and gear that would work on my gravel Bike, TIME ADHX 45. My gravel bike doesn’t feature rack mounts anywhere on the frame. So, I started looking into soft bag systems. That search led me to Tailfin system of bags designed for accommodating race-oriented gravel and mountain bikes without mounts.

Following the launch of the ELEMNT ACE in December, Wahoo announces today updates across their ELEMNT line of bike computers, plus the introduction of their TRACKR RADAR. Although full specs and lists of features were not available, here’s a quick breakdown on what’s coming soon. WE will follow up with a full review once he receives the new units to test. You could describe the three ELEMNT computers as small, big, and HUGE. Or in Starbucks terms, tall, grande, and TRENTA.

I had two main motivations for wanting to test out CushCore Tire Inserts. First, I’m prepping my winter gravel bike for outdoor riding in Western New York. Fixing a tubeless flat in the winter is no fun, and I like the idea of being able to crawl somewhere warm for the task. Second, the few times I’ve had sudden flats on chunky gravel, the rim took some hits before I could come to a stop. I like the idea of having some protection of the rim.
