It was a fascinating recruitment for 2026 five-star Nixa (Mo.) offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. After being pursued by a long list of prominent programs, it felt like Georgia’s recruitment to lose down the stretch. That was, at least, until the Miami Hurricanes came in late with a substantial NIL offer, and allowed them to win out over the Bulldogs and Oregon. Cantwell is considered an elite recruit in the 2026 class, and some have him rated as the top overall player of the talented group.

What a recruitment it has been for top-50 2026 Tavares (Fla.) High School linebacker Izayia Williams. The current Ole Miss commit has been all over the news recently for, what some would call, a very volatile recruiting process. They now have a chance to solidify a great overall defensive line class, and heading back down to the Lone Star State could be the key.

With the recent ascension of the Texas Longhorns program under head coach Steve Sarkisian, recruiting has also continued to trend upward. The Longhorns staff is busy putting together another tremendous class in 2026 as well. They have their eyes on an elite defender who just went back on the market. After nearly a year of being committed to the USC Trojans, 2026 Gainesville (Ga.) High School linebacker Xavier Griffin opted to decommit from the program back on May 14th.
