Tasmanian Netball League fans are set for a treat with both an earlier start and longer season among the new additions to the 2025 competition. Set to kick off with a massive opening round on February 15 – featuring six of the seven clubs – the TNL will be live streamed weekly on KommunityTV for the third successive year. Teams will descend on Launceston’s Silverdome for six back-to-back Opens and U19 clashes in Round 1, all broadcast live.

Tasmania has withstood a spirited Cairns outfit, led by hometown boy Taran Armstrong, to keep its undefeated record at MyState Bank Arena this season intact and win their fourth straight NBL clash. Armstrong (29 points, three rebounds and three assists) was terrific for the Taipans, leading the visitors charge for a career-high night, but it was an even spread from the defending champions that secured them a 99-90 win and handed Cairns its 10th straight defeat.
