    A MALVERN man was one of a team of care home staff braving a gruelling 200-mile cycling trek to raise vital cash for charity.   Paul Patchett, Head of Maintenance from Barchester’s Elgar Court Care Home, was one of the team taking on the gruelling Tour de Barchester cycling challenge, from Carmarthen to Wallingford in Oxfordshire.   This was the third successive year staff from Barchester Healthcare’s care homes and hospitals took on the challenge.

    A spate of vehicle crime has taken place in Pershore recently. (Image: Canva) A SPATE of recent vehicle crime across Pershore has been multiple cases of criminal damage. Over the last week, reports have flooded in of vehicles being damaged and, on occasion, high-value contents have been stolen. Police have urged anyone living on or near Station Road and Newlands to check any CCTV or ring doorbell footage for suspicious activity between May 20 and 23.

    STOLEN- This Honda motorbike was taken last week. (Image: West Mercia Police) POLICE are appealing for information after an overnight motorbike theft in Droitwich. A black, red and white Honda CBR 600 was stolen from Ombersley Street West. The crime took place between 10pm on Wednesday, May 15 and 7am on Thursday, May 16. Call 101 quoting reference number 00097_I_16052024 to report any information to the police.
