HASTINGS, Neb. – After riding around Hastings for around 14 miles, a local radio station gave away a $6,000 lawnmower in the 2nd 'Lawnmower Tour of Hastings.'The event put on by KHAS Radio in Hastings, saw their morning show host Brandon J McDermott ride a lawnmower in the back of a trailer bed across the town, stopping at various locations in between.

HASTINGS, Neb. – Residents of Hastings now have another aquatic attraction open after a complete renovation to a city splash pad. On Thursday morning, the Libs Park splash pad reopened to the public for the first time this year. The splash pad was forced to close in late summer of 2024, due to a vandalism of the facility's actuator, which starts the water. Renovations began in March, and were completed in May.

Since its inception in 2008, Revive only offered outpatient services in its old location on Burlington Avenue in Hastings.

HASTINGS, Neb. – Revive Inc. in Hastings is coming up on five months since the opening of its unique substance abuse treatment facility, which is now offering inpatient rehab services for the first time, but the road ahead remains lengthy. Since its inception in 2008, Revive only offered outpatient services in its old location on Burlington Ave. Now they offer a short term and long term inpatient program for currently up to 50 people in a new facility that opened in January.

HASTINGS, Neb. – A Hastings industrial business is expanding, and now has access to a 'no thru traffic' street to add-on to its operations. Bruckman Rubber Co. at 101 S St Joseph Ave asked the Hastings City Council to approve the vacation of S St Joseph Ave from the intersection of W South St to the BNSF railroad tracks, which the council unanimously approved 6-0 Monday night. Bruckman Rubber has introduced an expansion plan, which the business plans to implement in three phases from 2025-2029.
