Man shot, killed near Ryder Logistics in Waterloo

By Ryan Witry WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - A man was shot and killed late Wednesday night in Waterloo along Newell Ave. near Ryder Logistics. Police they were dispatched around 10:00 Wednesday evening for a report of shots fired. They found the victim outside the building and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Officers say there is no danger to the public. The victim's name has not been publicly released.
One victim confirmed, one person unaccounted for after house explosion

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - Firefighters confirmed one victim at the scene of a house explosion in Waterloo Wednesday morning. They say there is one person still unaccounted for. First responders believe the fire was caused by gas. Emergency services reported to the explosion along Sager Ave. near Becker Elementary School around 2:30 a.m.According to reports, people several miles away from the scene felt the explosion.
