KEY POINTSHypertensive disorders of pregnancy are increasingly common, including severe manifestations such as preeclampsia complicated by hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelets (HELLP) syndrome. Presenting features of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy can be nonspecific, including headache, visual disturbances, dyspnea, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting and peripheral edema.
