FRANKFURT, March 17 (Reuters) - The German insurer Allianz said on Monday that it was selling its 26% stake in two joint ventures with India's Bajaj Finserv to the Bajaj Group for around 2.6 billion euros ($2.84 billion). Last year, Bajaj Finserv had said that Allianz was considering exiting the joint ventures, ending a decades-old partnership. Allianz said in its announcement that India remained an important growth market and it would explore new opportunities there.

BERLIN, Oct 7 (Reuters) – The car battery parts joint venture between Volkswagen’s PowerCo (VOWG_p.DE) and Belgian materials group Umicore (UMI.BR) has chosen Poland as the location for its first factory, PowerCo said on Saturday. Through the $2.9 billion joint venture, called Ionway, which was first formed in December 2021, the companies join a number of European automakers that have brought battery supply closer to home as they transition to electric vehicles .

The battery unit's first planned client is Ford, to whom it will deliver cells for vehicles the U.S. carmaker is building in Europe on Volkswagen's electric MEB platform.
