Topline: Crews in Los Angeles were dealing with two wildfires Friday afternoon. The Fork Fire: The Fork Fire is burning east of the San Gabriel Reservoir in the Angeles National Forest with evacuations in place, according to officials. The fire was first reported around 3:23 p.m. Friday and by the evening had burned about 250 acres with 0% containment. The California Highway Patrol closed East Fork Road from Highway 39 to Glendora Mountain Road.

Long Beach Airport’s Historic Terminal will welcome passengers back later this month after being closed for more than a year for renovations, including restoration to a World War II-era mosaic. The $17.8-million project is part of a larger $125-million improvement program that includes a seismic retrofit and an overhaul to the airport's ticketing lobby and baggage facility.

What's closed: All beach access trails in the Abalone Cove Reserve are closed to the public until further notice. The city announced Tuesday that it also shut down Abalone Cove Beach and Sacred Cove Beach due to the impacts from the fast-moving landslide in the Portuguese Bend Landslide complex.
