School of Art and Design to Host Holiday Sale and Open House Nov. 8

The School of Art and Design at UA Little Rock will host its annual Holiday Sale and Open House from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 in the Windgate Center of Art + Design on the university campus. The event features one-of-a-kind crafts and creations made by School of Art and Design students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Items available for purchase can include anything from drawings, photography, and jewelry to ceramics, graphic design, and everything in between.
UA Little Rock Presents Theatre Production “The Imaginary Invalid”

Produced by the School of Literary and Performing Arts, the theatre arts program at UA Little Rock will perform Moliére’s “The Imaginary Invalid” at the end of October. The final play by French playwright Moliére is the story of Argan, a wealthy hypochondriac who wants his daughter to marry the son of a doctor in order to gain easier access to prescriptions and cheaper medical bills.

She is a two-time UA Little Rock graduate who holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate degree in higher education.

UA Little Rock Announces Evenings with History 2024-25 Speakers

Sponsored by the University History Institute, the Department of History at UA Little Rock will host the annual Evenings with History lecture series featuring UA Little Rock faculty members and guest speakers who give presentations about historical topics. The six sessions for the 2024-2025 series are scheduled on the first Tuesday of each month for October, December, February, March, and April, and the second Tuesday of November.

The event will take place at the JCPenney at Shackleford Crossing (2600 S. Shackleford Rd., Little Rock, AR 72205) from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni at UA Little Rock will receive an extra 30% off coupon when they show their university ID.
