On Thursday, CEO Neal Mohan told a MoffettNathanson investor conference that revenue generated per hour watched on YouTube Shorts has risen to the equivalent of YouTube’s long-form videos in several countries, including the U.S. This is significant news.

    Source: The InformationYouTube has won the rights to live stream an NFL game from Brazil on September 5. This will be the first time that an NFL game will be exclusively streamed live and for free in its entirety on YouTube, the NFL said in announcing the deal on Tuesday. It will also be available globally on YouTube with the exception of Canada and certain other countries, the league said.

    Source: The InformationESPN’s new streaming service, which will also be called ESPN and launch in the fall, will cost $29.99 per month. The service will bring all of ESPN, including all of its cable TV channels, coverage of more than 47,000 live sporting events per year and original studio shows and documentaries, to streaming without requiring a traditional pay cable TV subscription.
