Street sweeping in Cheshire CHESHIRE - The Public Works Department will begin sweeping town roads April 7. Sweeping operations will begin in the southwest corner and will progress throughout town. Residents can assist the Public Works Department by sweeping sediment from sidewalks into gutters and moving parked cars, which will interfere with the sweeping operations. Sweepers cannot pick up brush, branches or yard waste, which should not be discarded into the street.

CyberKnights win at district competition SOUTHINGTON - The CyberKnights robotics team recently won the NEFIRST Western New England District Event at Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. The team maintained a dominant position throughout the two-day competition, ranking No. 1 heading into alliance selections.
