Street sweeping in Cheshire CHESHIRE - The Public Works Department will begin sweeping town roads April 7. Sweeping operations will begin in the southwest corner and will progress throughout town. Residents can assist the Public Works Department by sweeping sediment from sidewalks into gutters and moving parked cars, which will interfere with the sweeping operations. Sweepers cannot pick up brush, branches or yard waste, which should not be discarded into the street.
