BCIT is pleased to announce Canadian Industrial Mills Services (CIMS) and Ideal Welders Ltd.’s donations of $100,000 to the Institute to support the development of the new Trades and Technology Complex. In recognition of the extraordinary partnerships with CIMS and Ideal Welders and to celebrate their transformative gifts, BCIT Foundation hosted an event honouring the two industry leaders and their commitment to the BCIT INSPIRE Campaign.

The BCIT Foundation works with donors in exceptional ways. On November 20, 2024, the Cmolik Foundation partnered with the BCIT Foundation, BCIT School of Health Sciences, and School of Construction and the Environment to provide a unique and inspiring experience for youth. A total of 107 grade five students from Lena Shaw Elementary School in Surrey participated in a full day of hands-on learning activities at the Burnaby Campus as part of the Expanding Horizons field trip.
