Jason Gladding, 34, shouted 'I'm going to prison anyway - so let's go and eat' as he led a group of supporters to a pub across the road from Hull Crown Court. He had pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine in 2022 but had to wait for the trial of two other men to finish before receiving his three-year sentence. A convicted murderer killed behind bars last weekend was bludgeoned with a weight in the high security prison's gym, it has been claimed. John Mansfield, who was jailed for life in 2007 for the murder of his 63-year-old neighbour Ann Alfanso, was found dead at HMP Whitemoor near March, Cambridgeshire, on Sunday. The security breach came a day after Manchester Arena bomb plotter Hashem Abedi attacked three prison officers with hot cooking oil in kitchen at HMP Frankland.
