From the set piece, Ivor Pandur pushed a free header from Haji Wright off the line. The Tigers soon had it back up the other end, but as ever, attacking opportunities were limited. The most impressive move thus far for City was a beautiful cross-field ball from Lincoln to Joe Gelhardt on the right in the eighth minute; the latter thought he’d won a corner under a challenge but a goal kick was given, and that was that. Moments later, Pandur saved from Simms at the near post.

Hull City 0 - 1 Luton TownSky Bet ChampionshipMKM StadiumAttendance: 23,005By Sam Hawcroft, Hull City CorrespondentThe Tigers are right back in the relegation mire after another desperately poor show at the MKM Stadium, going down to a freak own goal seconds after the restart. While the winning goal was sheer bad fortune, the Tigers could muster nothing in reply against a physical but otherwise equally pedestrian opponent.

It was a slice of luck that gifted Gelhardt the chance, not that any Tigers fan would care about that. A ball in from McLoughlin was hit straight at Argyle captain Nikola Katić, and before he could react to clear, it seemed to just go through his legs. Gelhardt was ready and waiting, and it seemed like he couldn’t believe his luck as he looked up to check he was onside before planting it past Hazard from eight yards.

Hull City 1 - 1 Norwich CitySky Bet ChampionshipMKM StadiumAttendance: 22,141By Sam Hawcroft, Hull City CorrespondentHull City’s winless run at home continued as they were held by Norwich – and while the result did little for the Tigers’ survival hopes, in isolation it was a decent point against a side who dominated proceedings after cancelling out Matt Crooks’ first goal at the MKM Stadium.

City won their first corner after Regan Slater saw a shot blocked at the near post. It was played short to Steven Alzate, who lofted it towards Sean McLoughlin at the far post. He headed it across goal, and Alfie Jones appeared to get a touch before Eliot Matazo, making his home debut, popped up at the near post to poke it in.

I remember at the beginning of the season trying to be optimistic and predicting we'd finish 12th, mainly to avoid people calling me a complete neg-head, but really, our owner's catastrophic act of self-sabotage is playing out entirely as could have been expected. #hcafc
