We're ending what was a soggy week with sunshine across the region! The wind is quite strong, though, and will continue to gust between 30-40 mph until sunset. A few more clouds will pop up this afternoon, but we'll stay dry. That won't be the case on Saturday as scattered showers hang around for a good portion of the day. Showers move in by mid morning and last through mid afternoon for most. Many areas will dry out during the evening. Up to a half inch of rain is expected.

It's June 1st, which means we've officially closed the book on climatological spring! This spring was warm and wet. In fact, it was our 3rd warmest and 3rd wettest spring on record. We had no shortage of severe weather either with 21 tornadoes across the state - all of which were in May. June is typically our most active month for severe weather in Wisconsin, and we have plenty of rain and storm chances over the next week.

It's SO nice to finally have a stretch of three days in a row of sunny and dry weather. Tons of sunshine is expected today with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s inland. Friday's sunshine will be filtered by thin clouds, but that won't prevent temps from warming into the upper 70s. Those clouds will be moving in ahead of a low pressure system that'll bring a chance of rain back to SE WI on Saturday. This little break from the rain is much needed.

Today's shaping up to be one of the nicest days of the week! Besides a few passing thin clouds this morning, mostly sunny skies are expected today with SW winds boosting temps into the mid to upper 70s. The quiet weather won't last long as our next chance for showers and storms arrives ahead of a cold front on Friday. A line of storms will develop tonight across the Plains, tracking east towards the Badger state Friday morning.

It's SO nice to have abundant sunshine back in southeast Wisconsin! Temps are warming nicely under the sunshine, but we still have a northeast wind. The NE wind will hold temps in the low to mid 60s lakeside today while inland spots make a run at 70°. After a day full of sun today, clouds return Thursday along with scattered showers and isolated storms, primarily in the afternoon and evening. Storms may produce localized downpours. Most, if not all, of the rain will stay to our south on Friday.
