In doing so, the program reached the nine win mark for the first time in five years. The Wildcats went ahead 1-0 after Dawson Nichols netted a goal 16 minutes into the first half. Nine minutes later, Nichols would strike again as he connected on his second goal (21st overall) to give his squad a 2-0 advantage.

Leading the way for the Wildcats were Bryant Brown and Matthew Musk who each shot a round of 38. Micah Biddle produced a 49, Easton Verst shot a 51, Jaysob Roenker turned in a 54 and Brantley Brown rounded out the group with a 63. Body By Sam McClanahanThe Pendleton County Wildcats soccer team dropped two of three games last week but were able to notch a historic win in the long history of the program as defeated St. Patrick on the new turf field at Sharp Middle School. The Wildcats fell in back to back road games to Calvary Christian (6-1) and Mason County (3-0) before hosting St. Patrick on August 24. Pendleton County got two first half goals by Dawson Nichols and Jayden Frisch as they led St. Pat 2-1 at halftime.

Body By Sam McClanahanFormer Pendleton County standout and 2019 Mr. Basketball winner Dontaie Allen has chosen his next stop for what will be his final year of NCAA eligibility. Allen, 23, posted on social media last week that he'll be taking to his talents to the University of Wyoming to play under new head coach Sundance Wicks. Allen had spent the previous two seasons at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.

By Sam McClanahanA new era will soon get underway for the Pendleton County Ladycats golf program as Kennedy Walthers takes over as head coach. Walthers, 28 later this month, is a native of Alexandria and graduated high school from Newport Central Catholic where she played golf for five years and was a cheerleader. This new role will be a brand new venture for Walthers as she has never been a head coach of any sport, but she is looking forward to the challenge ahead.
