Angel Cook is one of the founders of the group. She says Brave stands for Bringing Relief And Volunteer Efforts. "Let’s get together," Cook said. "Let’s make one group effort. Marlette for Adjutant General of the South Dakota National Guard. General Morrell entered the Air Force in 1999 as a graduate of South Dakota State University and as a Distinguished Graduate of USAF Reserve Officer Training Crop Detachment 780.

RAPID CITY, S.D. - Sales tax receipts in Rapid City slightly lowered in May, but are still up 2.76% year-to-date. May receipts totaled $6.98 million, down from $7.02 million in May 2022. However, through the first five months of the year, receipts have totaled $31.99 million, up from $31.13 million in the same period last year. This dip is just the second time in recent years the monthly sales tax receipts have lowered since the COVID pandemic.

RAPID CITY, S.D. - Rapid City Regional Airport and other agencies are asking the public to help out with their triennial emergency training simulation. They are needing anywhere from 80 to 100 volunteers. The training involves simulating a plane accident to test the effectiveness of emergency plans, coordination among the different agencies, and the proficiency of airport personnel responding to incidents.
