    ORLANDO, Fla. - The weekend wrapped up on a hot note with highs in Orlando reaching 97 degrees which tied the heat record from 1969. Heading into the start of the work week with the late day arrival of rain anticipated, the heat will have time to really settle in again. Highs will range from the low 90s along the coast to the mid 90s inland. Of course, there's the humidity. Factor that in and feels like temperatures will range from 103-111 degrees.

    Professor John Temple of the Reed College of Media is paving the way for a new screenwriting pathway at West Virginia University with new course offerings for students in any major. The pathway currently consists of two classes: “Intro to Screenwriting” and “Advanced Screenwriting.”“It's open to the students across the University, not just College of Media majors,” Temple said.
