LUMBERTON, Miss.—Students, faculty and family members gathered Thursday at Lumberton High School to unveil a mural in memory of Susan Copeland, a longtime science teacher who died in a car crash on Jan. 31, 2024. The school’s art club painted the mural that now stretches across the side of the science building where Copeland once taught. Art teacher Christopher Holziner led the project, which took six months to complete.
