From being asked to write simple codes, candidates are being asked to optimize and restructure existing AI written codes, to improve quality, say analysts working on AI and cyber security. With AI tools easily available, IT firms are also ensuring that they don't hire candidates who can just copy-paste codes.

After witnessing a hazy macro environment for five straight quarters, India- centric IT services firms saw green shoots in the first quarter of this fiscal. While experts were still uncertain about the continuity of tech spending, Q2 (Jul to Sep) earnings belied the doubts of the naysayers.Discretionary spending may not be back across all sectors, but IT companies are seeing growth in more verticals and geographies than before.

Xerox will source IT services worth more than $1 billion from Tata Consultancy Services and HCLTech over the next 5-7 years, the digital printing company said in a regulatory filing.The development comes months after both TCS and HCLTech announced expansion of their deals with the Connecticut-headquartered company.
