A Michigan man and woman arrested in connection with the 2018 death of the woman’s toddler are accused of killing the boy to make way for the child they planned to have together. The boy, 3-year-old Matthew Maison, was killed on Feb. 18, 2018, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said in a statement announcing the arrests of his mother and the mom's ex-boyfriend. Amanda Maison, 33, and Maurice Houle, 28, were arrested on a first-degree murder charge on Friday, April 11, per the statement.

Authorities in Minnesota have arrested a person from outside the campus of UnitedHealthcare, four months after the insurance company’s CEO was fatally shot in New York City. The individual, who has not been named, was arrested outside UnitedHealthcare’s headquarters in Minnetonka, Minn., the Minnetonka Police Department said in a statement on X.

A Florida woman who reportedly made threatening statements about wanting to kill her ex-boyfriend has been sentenced for later killing her live-in boyfriend. The victim, Tyler Kinnon Nulisch, 30, was killed by his girlfriend Brittany Nicole Holbrook in 2023 in their Monroe County, Fla., home in what Holbrook claimed was self-defense. Last month, the 35-year-old woman was found guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm, per Keys News, Local 10 and Keys Weekly.

Arielle Konig, 36, was celebrating her birthday with husband Gerhardt Konig, 46, when he allegedly tried to throw her off a cliff, hit her with a rock and tried injecting her with a syringe on an Oahu, Hawaii, hiking trail on March 24.
