    The 2025 Safari Rally returns to its traditional month of March but will not be run on Easter holidays as was the case this year. This follows the unveiling of the expanded 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar. The 2025 Easter weekend will be in April, a few days before Rally Islas Canarias slated for 24 – 27 April. The first three rounds of 2025 remain unchanged with Umeå gearing up to host Rally Sweden in February while Safari Rally Kenya will once again take place in March.

    Kanbis ‘A’ maintained their unbeaten run in the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) 50-Overs Super League after a 147-run win against Stray Lions A. Swamibapa ‘A’ remain on top of the Super League log on a net-run rate of 16 points same as Kanbis ‘A’ and Ruaraka ‘A’. Kanbis A have a game in hand. Kanbis ‘A’ skipper Dhiren Gondaria was all smiles after their fourth straight win of the season. “The boys played well and we hope to keep doing the same thing till the last game,” he said.

    Fourteen-year-old Shashwat Harish of Muthaiga Golf Club emerged top in the 2nd edition of the annual Kabete Junior Challenge Cup atthe Vet Lab Sports Club. Shashwat posted a score of three over par in the final round to emerge the boys' winner with an aggregate score of 304 gross.  Home player Belinda Wanjiru racked up a total of 319 gross to defend her trophy, which she won in the inaugural tournament last year.

    Table-toppers Kanbis ‘B’ will be looking to continue their five-match winning streak against hosts Stray Lions 'B' as Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) Division One 50-Overs League enters the sixth week. The two teams will be up against each other on Sunday at Peponi School in one of the six Division One matches scheduled for the weekend. Both teams currently occupy the top five positions in the tournament and will be pushing for more points this weekend.

    Kenya’s Hamza Anwar and Ugandan Jas Mangat will be the notable absentees during the second round of the FIA African Rally Championship in Ndola, Zambia, this weekend. Mangat, second on the continental log, attributed his withdrawal to job commitments. Ndola-based 2022 ARC champion Leroy Gomes is also a notable absentee. Gomes has opted to officiate as the Assistant Deputy Clerk of the Course.
