Currently in the MASCAC the Fitchburg State Falcons Men’s Basketball team has one player that ranks top 5 in any of the major statistics, and its turnovers. This is also while they sit at the bottom of the division at 2-7. Over the past 5 games they have allowed three teams to shoot over 40% from beyond the arc and they were all at a high volume.

Autumn Tibbets has made her mark on the field hockey program in just her first season. After transferring to Fitchburg State Tibbets had to choose between the many different sports that she plays, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and obviously field hockey. She initially became a falcon with the intent to play basketball but got convinced to try out field hockey by one of her friends.

Born in Monza, Italy, Francesco Campione has been in love with the game of soccer since he was five years old. Since joining the Falcons he has been a consistent starter. This is for good reason, Campione is not only a great leader on the field but off the field as well. When I was talking to him about their practices he told me that he did not participate but was still analyzing the practice and motivating his teammates.

Statistics show that we are witnessing the best volleyball team to ever come through Fitchburg State University. The program itself does not have much history but they have already beaten the previous record for wins in a season and they still have 5 games to go. I spoke to senior Emily Gelinas to see what she believes sets this team apart from the previous rosters.
