Christian Horner has called on the FIA to reduce the amount of regulation governing how drivers can fight in F1. The Red Bull team principal believes the racing is "becoming quite unnatural" and in need of a "reset" following Max Verstappen being involved in a pair of contentious incidents with both McLaren drivers in recent weeks.

Lando Norris has implored McLaren to be "more precise" and not make mistakes whilst reiterating his stance on some of the "bizarre" claims made about the team by its F1 rivals. The British driver has fought against the prevailing narrative that the Woking-based squad has the best machinery on the grid for much of the current season. Although he does now admit the MCL39 is the best package in F1, he continues to argue the performance advantage it enjoys is less pronounced than advertised.

Oscar Piastri won his fourth round of the current F1 season at the Miami Grand Prix to extend his advantage over Lando Norris. The McLaren team-mates comfortably controlled the weekend at the Miami International Autodrome in their MCL39s, despite neither claiming pole - for either the sprint or the main, full-distance race. Those honours went to Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen, respectively, with the former enjoying somewhat of a coming out weekend in Florida.

Ferrari endured an underwhelming Miami Grand Prix, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finishing a disappointing seventh and eighth, respectively. Even more egregious was the confusion and poor communication between the Italian team and its two drivers during a critical phase of the full-distance race in Florida.
