It’s been a big year for Batman, made even bigger coming off a tough 2023 — which saw the cancellation of both Gotham Knights and Titans, and the passing of Arleen Sorkin, who voiced Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzel in Batman: The Animated Series (B:TAS). 2024, however, brought Prime Video’s Batman: Caped Crusader, featuring a gender-swapped Penguin, and the recent premiere of HBO’s The Penguin, The Batman spinoff starring Colin Farrell.

Instead, it is God who masters both life and death. In post-biblical times, the concept remains the same even as the imagery becomes more vivid. Death earned an identity as Satan, the angel of death.

To Disney+, my animated X-Men. On Wednesday, March 20, the mutants with attitude return to the small screen in X-Men ’97, Marvel’s sequel series to X-Men: The Animated Series, which ran for five seasons between October 1992 and September 1997. The original series was a smash hit, outperforming its fellow Fox Kids superhero show Batman: The Animated Series in the ratings despite its much smaller budget.
