Kaunas City's victory against Sokil Kyiv is certainly a surprise considering the tradition of the Ukrainian club, but from what we saw today on the ice of the Pionir Arena, the Lithuanians dominated the game, scoring three times in the first period with Kostas Gusevas, Denys Honcharenko and Lukas Zukauskas, conceding a goal in the second period, in which however they passed goalkeeper Bogdan Dyachenko two more times, forcing coach Oleg Shafarenko to replace him with Oleh Petrov.
