1 INTRODUCTION Macrosomia is a common obstetric condition, diagnosed when a newborn's weight reaches or exceeds 4000 g.1 Macrosomia can lead to various complications during childbirth.2, 3 In the long term, macrosomia may increase the risk of diabetes and obesity in children and adults.4 Early identification and intervention of risk factors for macrosomia may improve adverse outcomes for pregnant women and their offspring.
