The funding of £399,670, provided by Breast Cancer Now and Secondary1st, will aid Professor Seth Coffelt and his team in their exploration of a specific immune cell that can combat the cancer and inhibit its spread. Currently, around 15 percent of breast cancers fall into the triple negative category, with few other treatment options if the cancer becomes resistant to chemotherapy.
