We Rock The Spectrum is designed to support kids' physical, emotional and sensory development. The gym features specialized equipment, like swings, zip lines and climbing walls, all designed to help kids regulate their senses and build confidence through movement.

One young girl from the Rio Grande Valley is turning sweet treats into support for children with autism across the border. Abby Martinez has been working hard to advocate for autism acceptance, and now she's teaming up with a local ice cream shop to make a difference, one vanilla cone at a time. At Golden Ice Cream in McAllen, there's something extra sweet on the menu this April. "The goal with this fundraiser is to donate a lot of money to the center up in Matamoros," Martinez said.

Capable Kids, a non-profit organization in the Rio Grande Valley, is providing a space where kids and young adults with disabilities can celebrate their unique strengths and differences. “In the RGV, we are very limited with resources, and we just need to bridge that gap,” Capable Kids Lead Program Specialist Ivanna Saenz said. The local nonprofit offers inclusive opportunities for its members through three core programs: CK Sports, CK Social and CK Impact.

Voters have been lining up since early Tuesday morning to cast their ballot in Hidalgo County at the start of Election Day. According to the Hidalgo County Elections Department, there are 109 polling locations across the county, and registered voters can cast their ballot at any of those locations. Nearly 165 thousand people cast their ballot during Early Voting in this election cycle. That number is down from the 188 thousand early voters seen during the 2020 Presidential Election.
